UN Azerbaijan and PASHA Holding held an event within the "29 Climate Conversations: Road to COP29" Program, marking the next step in their ongoing series of events.
This second event, held on June 25th, was dedicated to "Sustainable Business Practices: Integrating ESG into Corporate Strategy" and included over 200 government, SME and corporate clients of PASHA Group financial companies.
During the event, opening speeches were delivered by PASHA Holding's Chief Strategy Officer Teymur Huseynov, CEO of COP29 Azerbaijan Elnur Soltanov, and UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva. Detailed presentations were given by Niclas Svenningsen, Liaison to COP 29 Presidency & Manager of Programmes Coordination at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and several experts from EY.
The main purpose of this event, titled "Sustainable Business Practices: Integrating ESG into Corporate Strategy," was to engage both state and non-state clients of PASHA Holding in discussions on how to incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their corporate strategies. This event aimed to highlight the importance of sustainable business practices, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable and resilient economy. It explored how companies can integrate ESG principles into their core business strategies, with discussions focusing on practical steps for embedding sustainability into corporate governance, operations, and culture. The event also addressed questions by the participants in regard with COP29, which will be held in Baku in November 2024.
In addition, guests were provided with the opportunity to donate to the environmental projects currently being implemented by the Karabakh Revival Fund.

Holding, includes four events, two of which have already been held for PASHA Group employees and clients, respective. The remaining two events will be held in the coming months for local and international media representatives as well as non-governmental organizations.
