PASHA Holding invites candidates to fill the position of Head of Data Technology. This role within the Data Office is crucial for unlocking the potential of data across PASHA Group, driving tangible value by implementing and maintaining group-wide data technologies. As part of the Chief Data Office, you will play a leading role in building data technologies by engaging stakeholders to capture requirements and collaborating with business and technology leaders to design and develop these technologies

Job description:

  • Leads the full product management lifecycle of a new suite of technologies and oversees the team responsible for delivering it. This high-profile role involves working with business leaders and partners across the organization, including C-level executives. Strong business and technology experience in the finance and/or retail domain is essential for success;
  • Oversees the data technology roadmaps of assets and drives the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the Group, aligned with the enablement mission of the PASHA Holding Data Office;
  • Utilizes experience in Agile organizations to lead, develop, and inspire an Agile delivery team of data engineers, architects, DevOps engineers, data operations engineers and data analysts. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence. Mentors and develops data technology team members.
  • Develops and manages the Holding’s data technology roadmap, including requirements, resources, time, cost, quality, risks, and communications, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of companies within the Group;
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Drives the selection and implementation of data technologies and tools for the central data platform by leading internal and external technology development teams;
  • Provides guidance to the central and local data platform teams on technological decisions. Explores and implements Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities within the platform to unlock new opportunities. Ensures the smooth operation of the central data platform by managing and prioritizing issues and tasks for the central platform support team. Works with business and technology stakeholders across the Group to prioritize the platform backlog;
  • Acts as a trusted data technology advisor for the C-level executives of the Holding and strategic assets. Leads the design and implementation of Group-wide strategic data and analytics-related initiatives and participates in development of the data and analytics capabilities at various companies within PASHA Group;
  • Plans and manages the integration of PASHA companies with the central data platform. Manages critical third-party technology relationships and decides how to integrate third-party partners/solutions into the PASHA data technology landscape.
  • Manages and mentors a team of data engineers, architects, and technical leaders.

Experience, Competencies and Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in a senior data technology leadership or relevant leadership role;
  • Proven track record of leading full product management lifecycles for complex technology solutions;
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data technologies, and data exchange platforms;
  • Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile teams;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with C-level executives and other senior leaders;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to mentor and develop a diverse team of technology professionals.
  • Fluency in Azerbaijani and/or English is required; knowledge of Russian is a plus
  • Experience with Generative AI (GenAI) technologies and their applications not mandatory but as a plus;
  • Project and product management certifications are beneficial;
  • Knowledge of the banking, insurance, or retail markets is preferable.
